Glossary and Definitions

Local Move: A local move is when one moves within the metropolitan area. Charges are based on an hourly rate for the truck and movers.

Interstate Move: An Interstate move is a move within the continental United States. Rates are based on miles traveled and the actual weight of your shipment.

International Move: International moves are any moves outside of the continental United States, including moves to Alaska and Hawaii.

Packing: This service is defined as putting your possessions into the appropriate size and strength of carton for maximum protection during your move. Multiple size cartons are used in this process. Please see the packing section for a more detailed description of these cartons.

Storage: Whether you are storing your furniture for short term to create more room or staging your home for showing, need storage in between or during a move, or need a bit of extra space for your excess possessions, we have space for your household goods.
